Reminds me of my own record store days in the 70s. My only in-stores were Smokey Robinson (a small riot ensued) and Dexter Gordon , who was charming and very cool. Customers? We didn’t call them chafes, but chafe they did.
Everyone should work in either retail or the service industry for a year. It'd make the world a much better place.

I did a lot of years in various customer service roles (including close to two decades as a librarian) and I felt this newsletter in my soul.
